Dozens of students join for our AVI Student Lunch in Toronto

Our AVI Student Ambassadors, representing universities across Ontario, had a blast at our AVI Student Lunch in Toronto last Sunday! Students were given copies of Noa Tishby and Emmanuel Acho's book, Uncomfortable Conversations with a Jew, and caught up on everything AVI.

Our Director of Campus Affairs Idaliah Snajdman, who organized this lovely gathering for our student ambassadors, had some touching words for these rising leaders.

Director of Campus Affairs Idaliah came out to support Chair of the Board Matthew Friedberg at Revolving Tables 2025

AVI’s Chair of the Board Matthew Friedberg served as a Mentor at Revolving Tables 2025, hosted by the Israel Cancer Research Fund (ICRF). As a leading criminal defence attorney, Matthew shared his expertise and guidance with participants.

Our Director of Campus Affairs Idaliah Snajdman also attended the event to show her support and Thornhill MP Melissa Lantsman gave a powerful speech to close out the evening!

Our #allyspotlight is Reverend Hayley Ace

Our #AllySpotlight this week is Reverend Hayley Ace, the co-founder of the grassroots movement Christian Action Against Antisemitism (CAAA) with her husband, Timothy Gutmann.

Hayley passionately emphasizes Christians' duty to love Israel and the Jewish people, teaching the history of Christian antisemitism to educate others about hatred against Jews.

As a member of New Zealand's Māori minority, she also advocates for all Indigenous peoples to support Israel, highlighting the importance of solidarity in combating prejudice and promoting understanding.

Please note: In honour of Ariel, Kfir, Shiri, and Yarden Bibas, AVI has changed its main branding colour to orange. Our heart and prayers are with the entire Bibas Family.
